Sandy Kawehi Barrow, Owner - Staff Bios
I hear often that in this economy “getting a facial” is considered a luxury. This is why at “Kawehi Skin” we believe in offering affordable and quality skincare treatments in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
My name is Sandy Barrow, Licensed Aesthetician and owner of Kawehi Skin. As a forward thinking skincare therapist I understand that half the battle is what a client does at home for their skin. If you are following a skincare regimen at home daily with beneficial products it will make what happens in the treatment room that much more effective for your skin and you will experience a more satisfying result. This is a good reason that our treatments are affordable at my studio. My hope is that you have the option to purchase products with your treatment, and not have to choose between having a treatment or product but leave with both if you wish.

As Esthetician and owner of Kawehi Skin, Sandy Barrow is a forward thinking skincare therapist who delivers effective skincare treatments with a gentle touch. She received her cosmetology license from Career Academy of Beauty. Believing in keeping on the cutting edge of the skincare industry, She is also advanced certified thru PCA Skin(Physician’s Care Alliance) to administer chemical peels and is versed in the many different acids. She has trained with “TNT Agency” for makeup and hair, threading, and Airbrush makeup. Other certifications include microdermabrasion & microcurrent, manual lymph drainage & facial acupressure. Her passion for skincare began in 1999 when she was a stay home mom and sold skincare products for a major cosmetic company. “I wanted to know more about the amazing transformation and what was behind what I was seeing in the skin of women that I sold products to. That fascination began my journey towards a secret love of “all things skin”. Today, she is owner of Kawehi Skin and also enjoys freelancing as a Make-up Artist and giving of her time and skills to “A Quarter Blue”, a foundation that stops childhood sexual abuse. “It’s so important to give back to a cause you believe in, and participating in something for the greater good”. Born in Maui, Hawaii and California bound in 1974, Sandy has the same entrepreneurial spirit of her Father who owned several restaurants. “I basically grew up in the back of a restaurant, I saw what it took to run a successful business at a young age, but all us kids decided we weren’t going to follow that route. After our Dad passed, we all kinda went our ways and I ended up in Corporate America for a bit, learned a lot, but mostly learned that I really didn’t enjoy that structure. “I guess I couldn’t help but have a bit of my Dad in me, and throughout those years always yearned to own my own business one day”. Finally, 30 years later I can tell myself “I’m getting back to where I belong” with the opening of my Skincare Studio “Kawehi Skin”. The greatest part of giving a facial to my clients (besides the fact that their skin looks AMAZING after), is the personal relationships that transpire from a mutual trust over time. My hope is that once you start coming to my skin studio for facial treatments, you will want to come back because you received more than the results you desired served with a friendly and warm Aloha smile and spirit.
